Welcome to London

19

September

London is the first stop of our honeymoon in Europe. In fact, we flew off to the Netherlands on the same day ‘coz we’ve planned to tour London during the final 2 days and then catch the return flight back home.

“Selamat Datang ke London Heathrow Airport.” It’s 6 in the morning and we’re totally jet-lagged!

Part of London Heathrow Airport
London Heathrow is one of the busiest airports in the world. From what I saw, there’s an average of 1 commercial aircraft landing per minute. That pretty much means back to back, non-stop flights coming in. Baby Attack!
Madurodam is a park filled with miniature peoples and buildings. If you’re lazy to travel around Holland, you could just come here and see all the famous buildings and places in this country. Cool eh?

Photos taken during my honeymoon trip to Holland. Madurodam is situated in Den Haag (The Hague) city, Netherlands.

Click on the photo above to view my Madurodam album.
Photo Date: 30/5/2005.

And they even feature Malaysia Airlines Boeing-747 in their mini Schipol International Airport!

If you wonder how does the park look like from the sky, here’s Google Sighseeing’s shot.
Madurodam from the Sky

Windmills turn, tour boats move down canals, fire-fighters are extinguishing a fire in the harbour, modern trains traverse the city on the world’s largest miniature railway. The modernised shop has an extensive range of typical Dutch products and surprising souvenirs. A visit to nearby Scheveningen Beach, the various museums in the immediate vicinity, can be combined easily with a visit to Madurodam.
