The Queen Lounge and Cafe – Sibu

If you’re in Sibu and you’re looking for something different, other than those same old coffee shops, you can actually take a ride to the Tua Pek Kong Temple in Sibu.

No, I’m not asking you to worship the Gods, but right beside the temple, there’s a block of revamped building that houses Sibu’s finest lounge and cafe. The lounge is located at Jalan Chew Geok Lin. The once antique building looks great now after major refurbishment works.
The Location
The building is owned by Wah Tat Holdings. The lounge is closed in the morning, nothing’s happening there during daytime…but when the sun goes down…

Have you got your Nuffnang Cheque?

This is my 2nd ever cheque from Nuffnang, and I know, it’s not a big amount to boast about, for everyone could get a cheque like this if you’re willing to put in the effort.

But it is still a legible pay-cheque for all the hard works I’ve done for Nuffnang. Since a couple of months ago, I’ve allocated every possible premium advertising inventory on my blog just for Nuffnang, just to see if it’s worth the go.

Well, I’ve got the answer today.

Nuffnang Cheque
Hello sexy! How do you like me to spend you?

Those are tested and proven to be the best locations you could use to maximize your earnings with Nuffnang. Before you know it, they’ll be generating over RM100/month for you! Hey, during a time like this, every extra cent I can get means the world to me! So it’s crucial to dig around and find the best spot to cash in the moolah!

The most important thing of all, Nuffnang delivers what they’ve promised to deliver. I’ve never had any problem with Nuffnang regarding payout. My last pay-cheque was spilled over by water and it was unusable. I’ve then requested them to reissue the cheque for me, although it took a bit longer, but the cheque did arrive in the end after a 2 months processing period.

As for this pay-cheque, they deliver on time as promised, without those bloody fraud click checks. The self-proclaimed “Better Advertising network company” didn’t even care to reply my cash out inquiries for more than 5 months, let alone issuing a legitimate cheque to honor my earnings. If you boss doesn’t pay your salary on time, or never even bother to pay at all, will you have the motivation to carry on working for them?

Oh well, I guess I’ve to thank Nuffnang for the extra bucks that finally I can replace my out-of-control keyboard!

Uncle Dom Cafe, Sibu

Uncle Dom Cafe is the latest modern, franchise-style, Ipoh-kopitiam-themed outlet to be mushroomed in Sibu town. Of course, they don’t just serve Ipoh white coffee, they serve a fusion of Western and Eastern breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

What’s great about this place is its very vintage and originally Sibu’s design and decor. You can find lots of old photos of Sibu town as the wallpaper and wall photos.

AirAsia Cancels Flight, the Ah Beng way

This is an e-mail I’ve received from AirAsia just a moment ago.

Dear Valued Guest,

AirAsia regrets to advise that our flight AK 6083, scheduled to depart from Kota Kinabalu(BKI) to Sibu (SBW) on 26thoctober09 unfortunately has been totaly CANCEL.

Should you require further assistance, or if you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to call center 03-217192222/03-217193333 or log on to our website at www.airasia.com. We appreciate your understanding of our position in this matter and hope your future flights with us will be pleasant and problem free.

Yours sincerely,
AirAsia Bhd

First of all, what a shame on their web notification department. Take a look at their e-mail.

“26thoctober09″ – What is that? Your keyboard’s space bar broken?
“totaly CANCEL.” – Spelling and grammatical error – Should be “totally canceled.”

So which Ah Beng or Ah Lian were hired to write this e-mail Mr. Tony Fernandez?

I mean, it should have been ON schedule!!! NOT canceled! What the heck is going on with AirAsia?

But, this Ah Beng-ish e-mail is the best thing that I could ever wished for, forget that dreaded miserable canceled flight. They actually gave me 3 months advance notice for me to arrange a different way to travel back. Such great service you have AirAsia!

Yeah, hope is always no hope at all. Can’t really hope on you, AirAsia! They just tell me that it’s canceled without even giving me a possible alternative to that.

The itinerary includes a flight from KK to Manila, and from Manila back to KK, and on a connecting flight, I’m supposed to fly back to Sibu on the same day. If that’s so, am I entitled to cancel the whole flight schedule and get a full refund since it’s all under AirAsia?

Kuching in HDR Photography

Mary and I were having a getaway in Kuching last week. We were enroute Lundu town, about 100km away from Kuching for its picturesque Sematan beach. The town sat close to the border of Kalimantan, Indonesia. But our journey were cut short, or rather, unsuccessful where we had to make a U-turn back to Kuching City due to bad weather, and as darkness closed in, we dare not venture into the unfamiliar territory.
Lundu Ferry
There are no lights nor residence for as long as the eyes could see and the terrain is rough. Wrong timing for a trip like this…but we could still afford to stop for a HDR photography session.
