Situated in Victoria Street, between Queen and Peel Street, it is a huge market which houses more than 1,000 stalls selling all kinds of products, ranging from vegetables and fruits, meat and fish, bakery and delicatessan, clothes and fashion wears, souvenirs and toys, as well as general merchandise. Ever wonder how my unit house looks like from above the sky? You’ll probably need a helicopter to see that, but now, with Google Earth, everyone can look at the earth from the sky!

It’s not really a new thing this Google Earth, but satellite images really fascinate me since high school. I love geography, and I really love this piece of free software by Google which gives me the opportunities to see the world from space.
Now, the satellite images database are not 100%, they don’t cover every corner of the world in detail, only major cities of the world are actually captured on detailed images. So, take a look at my little home town called Sibu, it’s a big town, located in Sarawak of Malaysia.

That’s the best picture of Sibu town you can get from Google Earth. Now, there’s something wrong with the color of the river, it’s brownish, sort of like milk tea (Teh C Peng in Hokkien) its color. Partly thanks to the heavy deforestation in the upper region of the river by Rimbunan Hijau – a global conglomerate of companies controlled by the Tiong family from Sibu, Sarawak.
