Ang Pow from Chitika

After a few months wait, Chitika has paid me - just in time for a Chinese new year ang pow. I’ve removed their ads from my blog since the inception of my new template in an effort to cut down advertisements and loading time.
Despite negative responses from many major publishers, I still think that Chitika is worth a go for bloggers like me. Nonetheless, it’s still a viable source of income to support my web-hosting expenses. Perhaps I’ll put them up again on my other blogs/websites in the future.

I tried applying for Chitika once but got rejected. The ads were not for my blog, but for another personal site.

Not available anymore because of some problems with the host.. In the midst of shifting now. The personal site is just my collection of writings, photos and drawings.

I got USD24.95 that had been bounced to and fro for 2 months because I don’t have a paypal account. I refused to give my credit card number. Arrggh…can’t find a solution yet. They will only pay me in cheque when I touched USD50 but I had taken down the ads so no more income.

lilian: If you don’t mind, maybe you could try depositing that to my paypal account and I’ll bank it into your local bank (PBB/Maybank). How’s that sound?

Thanks Alex! I actually got a little itchy and put back my Chitika on a few blogs last nite. My highest paying site has traffic from US and OZ so I am pretty confident I could get a few more clicks. I had promised my son that whatever I earned from Chitika is going to him to buy skateboarding accessories online from the US. So, let’s see how it goes and I shall take your offer!
