I’m having difficulties surfing the web today. Response time is slow, at times they even timed out on me, including this site. Google’s badly hit with this one, I’m not sure about other places, but Australians as well as Malaysians are unable to access their services at the moment. My friend in Malaysia did a check for me then. Gmail, Google Adsense, even Google.com itself are all down. This is no good for you guys who depends heavily on daily Adsense earnings, coz the ads won’t show up today!

For all the problems, I decided to run a checkup on the Internet’s health. First up, I went to SiteUptime and did a check on Google.com. Well, it returned OK. Pretty good response time too at 0.045 secs.

But that check was done over a San Fran server in the US. Didn’t have an option to check for the uptime through an Australian server though.

So, I went to the Internet doctor at Key Note to get an update of Health Report.

See that red cross? SBC, a Texas-based telecommunication giant seems to be having some trouble there. They’re one of the major Internet data carriers, and whoever’s Internet data is carried by this particular telco will have problems with connectivity. I guess I’m in their range.

End note: The Internet health went back to normal just as I was finishing this post (8:16pm, GMT+11).
