Boost your Traffic the SpyMy way

February
No, I’m not trying to sell SpyMy here, nor am I recommending it as a traffic generating news aggregator.

Top of SpyMy, no need vote one!
Man, I haven’t see such a spectacular way of boosting one’s traffic. This must be the best since the Dawn Yang controversy, the Xialanxue v Xiaxue war, and you name it. This is the ultimate traffic whore’s hitchhike ever!
I mean, why would a news aggregator wants to specifically highlight a home-made porno? What’s the point there? Worst off, there ain’t even a warning on the video post on SpyMy, kids could get it with a click of a button.

This is SpyMy’s comment on the Rojaks blog. “No need use brain. Just click link.” Even your 12 year old kids could be watching this amazing video, free marketing and publicity courtesy of SpyMy.

Don’t forget to support them okay! Must put link alright! If not I spy kao your mom!
I’m not sure cause I don’t frequent SpyMy, but this is like the first-ever page specifically designated to an issue of no significant affect on the Malaysian blogosphere? But SpyMy’s decided that it’s so hot that ads were placed all over it to gain traffic and maybe generate some accidental clicks off some amateur Internet users. What a terrific traffic hitchhiking to Adsense dollar!

I know some of you bloggers have got this “Tak Nak - Quit Smoking” spam. No we didn’t ask for it, it just arrived in our mailbox and that’s spam. Upon checking the Whois database, need I say more of who’s the owner? I suppose this is from the same owner as SpyMy? QuitSpeed? and I bet you know who’s hiding in the jungle playing monk.
Oh, that’s not all, here’s somemore…

“Don’t Forget to Support Me again okay?!” Alright, this is getting annoying, quit reminding us to support you already! and quit telling us to stop smoking, too! I think you need to get some “Quit Spamming 101″ lessons.

SpyMy, Tammy NYP video

Why? Because we are a news aggregator, and this is THE BIGGEST news, it’s the top searched term on technorati if you didn’t notice. It’s what people want, I can’t control that.
There is a disclaimer on the video now, for the sake of the kids, not like they can’t go to http://www.ultrapasswords.com/ and get whatever the hell they want with one click anyway, this is the net
At least I’m not this bad: http://www.tammynyp.com/

Oh fuck, Quit Smoking is ST’s? Shit man, he could at least have the courtesy to tell me that. I got the mail and being the kind and generous person, I helped to blog the awareness in my parenting blog. Then, I replied with my personal 5xmom mail signed as Lilian and QS replied without even a casual ‘hi’ to me. I had been taken on a ride by ST!!!!???!!!
And SpyMy is his too? The very same person? Ouch, speechless!

Had the same suspicion all along about this matter.
Anyway, I’ve been pondering if I should release the latest version of Korekk!!!
But since ppl might be searching for an alternative to Spymy, I present the updated version of Korekk here:
http://beta.blorc.com
You can find the old one which was launched before spymy (based on wordpress) but has since kinda died (lol) here:

People aren’t searching for SpyMy, why would they search for an alternative?
People in Malaysia are ONLY interested in self-promotion, the arena is still to immature, that’s why none of these schemes have taken off really.
Ah using Pligg beta 6, not too fond of it myself yet, still testing it, I find it a little cluttered , but it has nice features.

I am quite annoyed by the “support us” message everywhere on the page too.
8. SpyMy | February 23rd, 2006 at 1:59 am
LcF I don’t think a couple of words asking people to sign up are as annoying as a dodgy ‘pro-blogger’ layout packed to the ceiling with ads, I’ve seen a site like that somewhere, I think it was http://liewcf.com, Have you seen it?
9. aw | February 23rd, 2006 at 2:52 am
I never go to liewcf.com, so I’m affected. If I don’t like a movie, I don’t watch it. But this spymy posts in everyone else’s blog to promote himself. I believe that’s called blogwhoring.
Not to mention his malicious sarcasm will not endure him to anyone.

11. celakacom | February 23rd, 2006 at 12:13 pm

I hope there is a matinee show here somewhere. Midnight show over at my place. I prefer a ticket in the non-smoking section, please. ‘Cos I heard cig smoke farked up one’s brain. And one popcorn and coke. Oh, a bowl of cendol too. I shall watch it from my civic. This is a drive through, right?

[…] The previous occurence of the Tammy effect is the Star Wars Kid phenemenon. His leaked video of himself spread like wildfire across the internet and became one the web’s most searched people. Only this time, it is unlikely that people would add music and special effects to the ten minute sex video. SpyMy.com has taken the liberty to link to the video for download, an act that has been disagreed upon here , here, here and here. […]

Agree on both defence and attack. Both also have their very own reason and “why”. But as for SpyMy, i wonder where is the first outlook of SpyMy, is it a Digg.com clone or is it now as promoting Porn or other poor victim case and was once published so proudly in the Star In.Tech. Dunno what will the Star In.Tech will mention about your Site now. “Proudly to present Malaysia Very First Digg alike” or “Proudly to present Malaysia Very First Porn News Alike”
And i still do mind the message on top of it, once you first visit SpyMy Website, bear in mind that, not all visitor will be a grown up, and bear in mind, your website is a news aggregator not a promoting porn nor other victim related that may affect their living. Plus, can’t you be more like Digg.com a purely News aggregator as you claimed to be one when your site first launched? The Star In.Tech are being read by many readers in Malaysia, and from age 12 to 80, man, age 12 is sure a underage, imagine, your kids(if u do have one yet) clicking on the link on your website, trying to locate the video clip, downloading it, watching it, and might do something similar to the video, are you still going to promote that link on top?
Next.. the quiting smoke post is good, cos it actually help my boyfriend to start quiting smoke.
At the very first time, David of XBlog, introduce your SpyMy to me,i was keen on it, and wish to get info from SpyMy, but.. now.. i have second thought..
