Honda Car Plate Number
07
November
According to my recent study on car number plates in Melbourne, most Honda car owners are derived from the Chinese population, and they tend to go by the lucky number ‘8′. You can see lots of them with at least an 8 in their reg number. Most common being xxx 168, or xxx 188, or xxx 888, as shown below:

That’s a Honda Civic with a car reg number of TBI 888.

Here’s a Honda CRV with QJJ 888.
Someone here actually got fed up with everyone having the same freaking ‘8′ numberings. So, he/she decided to go with this instead…

The owner loved the car so much he/she called it “Bao Bei”. That’s “Baby” in Mandarin.
Yeah baby! Ain’t that pretty? and it costs AUD$395.00, according to the price list at VicRoads*. Not really expensive for a name like that don’t you think?
* VicRoads governs the road network and transportation systems in Victoria, Australia.

You gotta realise not all XXX-888 plates were requested by the owners, they were given the number by the dealership who buys them in bulk from say xxx-860 to xxx-900
